X Factor is killing music

Basically I have hated X factor since its creation. From the very start this industry has slowly killed off music and I fear now that it may one day replace all other artists. Simon Cowell through his programme is controlling the charts, and showing other brilliant new artists away. Personally I would see the metaphorical ship of X factor sunk and exploded, then eaten by giant shrimp.

For starters the judges are clueless. They are forced to lie to people and convince them that they are the next big thing, when they will be working in the local charity shop only months later. Then what requirements is there to be a judge? Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue are hardly legendary musicians who are respected around the world. Sure Cheryl has had relative domestic success but will she ever be truly admired by other true artists as a musician and creative force. When that day comes I would like my ears sandpapered so I'm not forced to listen to them wherever I go. Also whereas every appearing artist usually sings live on X factor Cheryl had the audacity to mime on a singing show she's meant to be judging!  Just too painful.

Next the fact that none of them are that good annoys me. Real musicians and singers write their own songs but I cannot see that happening with these manufactured contestants. I may continue this argument some other time but the rage has built up too much.
